Visa VMC Fall 2026 Doubles Its Prize Pool to VND 500 Million — and Builds a Longer Staircase

The Visa VMC Fall 2026 file puts two numbers on the table: a VND 500 million total prize pool and one MCT SEA slot for the champion. Both figures are recorded as having doubled compared to the 2026 season. But reading the match schedule carefully, I see the story lies elsewhere.

VMC Fall 2026 is Vietnam's domestic MLBB championship, organized by MOONTON with Visa as title sponsor. The tournament brings together 6 teams: 4 slots from VMC Spring 2026 and 2 from qualifiers. Playoffs run October 10-11, with the final on October 17 at AEON Mall Tân Phú Celadon, Ho Chi Minh City. The champion receives VND 250 million, runner-up VND 90 million, third and fourth VND 50 million each, fifth and sixth VND 30 million each.

Since Winter 2026, the VMC champion earned an M7 Wild Card slot and the runner-up an MCCM Season 6 slot. This season, the path has changed: winning VMC Fall 2026 → competing at MCT SEA in Thailand (December 9-13, 12 Southeast Asian teams) → fighting for an M8 World Championship slot (main stage Istanbul, Wild Card Bangkok). MOONTON is rolling out the MLBB Championship Tour across 5 regions starting 2026, and MCT SEA is the newly added intermediate layer.

I have followed VMC seasons since the tournament carried a different name, and I always pay attention to the dates in the schedule. In the 2026 VMC final, Legion Esports defeated T Final in a BO7 series to claim VND 100 million. That is data from nearly two years ago, insufficient to assess current form, but it shows the champion's prize has grown 2.5x in just two seasons.

The clause they buried, I am just the one with the shovel. The six-day gap between playoffs (October 10-11) and the final (October 17) is not a meaningless detail. In professional competition schedules, six days is enough for a team to lose rhythm or completely change its approach. With the BO7 format, teams with deeper rosters and stronger mid-series adjustments gain a much larger advantage compared to BO3 or BO1. Finalists will need to maintain training intensity during this window while also gaining a scouting opportunity on their opponents.

Financially, the VND 500 million total prize pool (approximately USD 20,000) remains small by global esports standards. But the 50% champion split shows MOONTON wants to make the title the ultimate objective rather than distributing evenly across 6 teams. The champion captures both the largest cash share and the MCT SEA slot — concentrating financial and developmental upside into the same position.

At the Southeast Asian level, Vietnam holds only 1 of 12 MCT SEA slots. The Philippines and Indonesia remain the dominant M-series regions. This number shows Vietnam is positioned as a developing region within the MLBB Southeast Asian hierarchy, not a leading one. But Visa's continued title sponsorship, combined with the doubled prize pool, signals that sponsors and the publisher trust the Vietnamese audience.

I have watched many seasons where rumors about rosters and results spread before official announcements. This season, the original article only names Legion Esports and T Final from 2026, without confirming the Fall 2026 participant list. This suggests the team roster may not have been finalized at publication. Before placing your trust in any team, wait for qualifier results and the official list.

The season dies, but the numbers never die. The VMC → MCT SEA → M8 path is longer than the old route (VMC → M7 Wild Card). The champion now must win an additional regional tournament before reaching the world stage. This is the trade-off: prize money increases, but the journey lengthens too. MOONTON is building a more tightly controlled pyramid, and Vietnamese teams must accept the new rules of the game.

The question for Fall 2026 participants: how are you preparing for BO7, and are you ready for the six-day wait before the final? The answer will be written on the AEON Mall Tân Phú Celadon stage on October 17.
